Did you know, on the 5th of March 2016, there was a trail run going on? It was named the KubUltra Trail Run which was held at Taman Millenium, Kuala Kubu Bharu.
Where is Kuala Kubu Bharu? Well, Kuala Kubu Bharu is located in Selangor, Malaysia. It is a township where it seems like time has come to a standstill. It used to serve as a fort during the Selangor Civil war from 1867 to 1874. A civil war in Selangor? That was the past, but this place is better known for the tragedy where the Kuala Kubu dam burst and flooded the entire town. This not only affected tin mining activities but 33 lives were lost. It is the last township. Not forgetting Sungai Selangor Dam and the famous hill resort known as Fraser’s Hill.

Trail running at a beautiful place like Kuala Kubu Bharu will most definitely be calming with the serene surroundings.
Was the run Fun or Competitive? Well, there were five categories for KubUltra Trail Run.
The categories are listed below.
KubUltra 5: An event for children, families, and newcomers (5 KM).
KubUltra 10: An event for children, families, newcomers, newbie hikers and runners (10 KM).
KubUltra 20: An event for those who are just getting the hang of a longer distance (20 KM).
KubUltra 40: An event for those willing to push themselves (40 KM).
KubUltra 60: An event for those looking for the real deal, leaving their comfort zone (60 KM).
Well, newcomers, youngsters or veterans, there is a category for everyone of all ages!
This Trail Run event not only attracted the locals, it also attracted people from all over the world! YES! Foreign runners participated in KubUltra Trail Run! Most of the runners gave their all and enjoyed the experience running at the beautiful Kuala Kubu Bharu!

It was definitely challenging. But the experience was something that one will cherish. With the breath taking scenery of Kuala Kubu Bharu, everything else fell in place. The experience is AWESOME!
